Approaching the platform remains at Swiss Cottage
station - looking north.
This station was the only one directly replaced (i.e.
in location and name) between Baker St and Finchley Road.

The platform remains at Swiss Cottage, as photographed
in the late 1970s from the short section of rebuilt platform
seen in the photo above.

Looking south from the northbound platform area. The
yellow hand rails visible on the right of the photograph indicate
the
position of a very short section of platform - retained in case
of a need to evacuate passengers (through the drivers cab).
It's also where the photo above was taken from.
The other two stations between Baker Street and Finchley
Road have these small platforms as well.

Finchley Road looking north at the area where the
station buildings were before they were demolished to allow the
road to be widened.
The brick enclosure with the ivy growing on it, to
the left of the road, surrounds the skylight that still illuminates
the platform area, as
seen in the photos above. Judging by the position of the exits
at platform level, the station building would appear to have
been at the
northern end of this skylight, i.e. furthest end from the camera.
